What Has Happened?
In 1950 there were 2.55 billion people; in 2004 there are 6.4 billion.
2 1/2 people splitting the available oxygen of 1 in 1950.
This expansion has quite logically dominoed:
More people=
less rain forests (cleared for farming)= less
oxygen.
More people= more domesticated
animals for food= less oxygen.
More people= more cars=
less oxygen.
More car engines= more oxygen burn=
less oxygen ;
Plus
More airborne byproducts=
less available oxygen (heavy polluted molecules
squeeze lighter oxygen molecules up , the O2
Weight holding the pollution down
force-squeezing pollution into our lungs.) Finally
More cars=More
roads=global warming from asphalt strangulation of the planet=less
oxygen. All predictable
from just too many people making too many demands on the
least amount of oxygen this
Earth has ever had!
