SIN FREE
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that the antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know it is the last time.
1 JN 2:18For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old
ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. Jude 4:5This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their ownselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they that creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led a way with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Tim 3:1-7The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Tim 2:19b, 22Beloved, now are we sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that has this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.
1 JN 3:2-5Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: Whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth NOT commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 JN 3:6-10For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
ROM 6:14,15There hath no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer [allow] you to be tempted above that ye are able; but with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it [without giving in to the temptation].
1 COR 10:13But I [Paul] keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
COR 9:27Many people quote Romans 7:19 as evidence that a Christian will, and cannot keep from, sinning. All of chapter 7 and 8 of Romans must be studied in order to understand what that verse and the others are saying.
V7:9 Man was alive once [spiritually] but then God introduced the Law and then Man died.
V7:14 The Law is spiritual and Man is carnal, sold under sin [but we have since been redeemed].
V7:19 Man [unsaved] wants to do good but cannot because he is carnal.
V7:24 Who is there to deliver Man. He cannot deliver himself.
V7:25 So man is stuck with the dilemma of mentally serving the Law and physically serving the flesh. [God knew this from before the foundation of the world and therefore He mercifully sent the Word manifested in the flesh to redeem Man.
V8:1 There is no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh.
V8:9 If ye are in the Spirit then ye are not in the flesh.
V8:13 If you sin, you die [spiritually]. If you mortify [put to death] the deeds of the body [i.e.; sin], then you shall live. This is all in perfect harmony with 1 John chapter 3 which says that if a person is born of God then he cannot sin.
For the time is come that judgement must begin at the House of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 1 PET 4:17,18
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as He which called you is Holy, so be ye Holy in all manner of conversation [conduct or behavior]; because it is written, be ye Holy; for I am Holy.
1 PET 13-16Awake to righteousness, and sin NOT; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 COR 15:34For it is impossible for those who were (1)were once enlightened, and (2)have tasted of the heavenly gift, and (3)were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and (4)have tasted the good Word of God, and (5)the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.
HEB 6:4-6For if we sin willfully after that we received the knowledge of the Truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for the judgement and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
